Always wanted to know what it’s like to speak on the radio, what your voice sounds like live? Join the Team of Radio Ara for a hands-on experience and learn how to convince your listeners with your radio-show.

• European Politics Simulation

What does it mean to do politics at a European Level? Which roles are there and what are their missions and objectives? Get a hands-on experience about European Politics and how the European Institutions work by taking on the role of a member of the European Parliament.

• Der Preis meines Handy’s (Lux)

Friday, 6th of July * 10h30 – 12h30

Beim Auseinanderschrauben eines Handys gehen die TeilnemerInnen auf Rohstoffsuche im Handy. Anhand der gefundenen Rohstoffen erörten wir dann gemeinsam wie ihre Gewinnung, deren Konsquenzen für die Umwelt, sowie die damit vebundenen Lebensbedingungen der Menschen sind. Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird den Konsequenzen des Bergbaus in der DR Kongo anhand eines Films gegeben. Es werden Denkanstöße gegeben, um ein Bewusstsein zu entwickeln über die Auswirkungen des eigenen Konsumverhaltens auf das Leben von Menschen in anderen Ländern und um potentielle Handlungsmöglichkeiten und Lösungsansätze zu suchen.
